Description:
An opaque red color with delicate shades of pomegranate, with intense aromas of black forest berries, dried fruits, cocoa, leather and tobacco and a complex, elegant and juicy taste, downright "meaty", enriched with a pleasant woodiness, well integrated. The tannins are soft and dusty, a velvety and creamy wine with a lingering aftertaste (final, after swallowing) long and delicately fruity and sweet.
Food recommandation:At the beginning of the meal, it goes well with platters of fine smoked venison or wild boar meat sausages, served with aged cheeses (Năsal, bellows cheese in fir bark, Rochefort, Tête de Moine) and dried fruit. An ideal companion for aged veal, Angus or Wagyu Kobe (prepared blue or medium rare), next to wild boar stew with truffles or pork neck with game sauce or Gorgonzola cheese. At the end of the meal, it can be enjoyed next to a cigar (Double Corona or a Churchill) and/or artisan chocolate, with a minimum 75% cocoa content.
The ideal pairing: Game stew with horseradish.
